Earning money online is the dream of every budding entrepreneur. I know that when I started out and was deciding between building an offline business or an online one, there was no question that an online business was the fastest way to earn additional income online, with the least inconvenience.
So why do you want to start an online business? Does it really matter, you just want to get it right?
You may have read the story of how Markus Frind started an ugly dating site called Plenty of Fish and regularly receives $ 10 million annually from Google and other advertisers.
You may have read about how John Reese made over $ 1 million in 24 hours when he launched his Traffic Secrets product.
Was it the story of how Mike Filsaime, an overworked car salesman who takes regular 15-hour shifts at work, earns more than seven figures each year that got you interested in earning some extra money online?
Whatever the reason you became interested in learning about starting an online business, I must say that you have come to the right place to learn.
You now have several ways to earn a little extra money online, including:
- Affiliate marketing
- Pay Per Lead Programs
- Marketing online
- Google advertising
- Drive traffic to sites through Google Adwords
- Write and sell e-books directly to customers
All of the above ways are workable, but some of them have serious downsides, be it time or money commitments.
Affiliate marketing is an inexpensive way to get started online. However, it takes time to learn and you must compete against thousands of other affiliates for the same products. Standing out becomes more difficult, especially if the product is just launching and the affiliate commission is large.
Pay-per-lead programs are great in theory, but you should have a pretty solid website and list. By list I mean a list of people who gave you their email addresses and want to hear from you.
eBay? Do not get me started. First you need things to buy, you have to post the item for sale and create an auction. So you have to constantly monitor your listings. Then you have to ship what you are selling and then start over. No, thanks.
Network marketing has some major advantages, especially if you are at the top of the pyramid, I mean the commission structure. Hey mom, dad, do you want to buy this? [insert product they do not need] on my part so that I can make a commission? I am only two more sales from the level where I make a lot of money. No, thanks.
Google AdSense sounds great in theory. Just put the code on your website and Google will show the best ads for your readers based on the content on your site. Your readers click and you make money. Simple truth? Not so fast.
To earn income online with Google AdSense, you must have a high traffic site. That’s great if you’re Markus Frind of Plenty of Fish fame with millions of page views per month. Do you have one of those sites? Neither do I, so forget about that option for now.
Google Ads? Great if you can make extra money doing it, but you’ll probably spend thousands just “learning” how to make it work. No, thanks.
Writing and publishing e-books?
Writing and publishing electronic books. Once you set up your website, everything works on autopilot. So just write your e-book, upload it to your site, and set up your shopping card through a free provider like PayPal.
When you look at the above options to earn extra money online, it becomes clear that the first option for beginners is to create a short little eBook and sell them online. It is one of the cheapest and easiest ways to start earning extra cash online.
Okay, maybe it’s biased. I have written over 40 e-books and have made thousands of dollars on autopilot with my e-books. Yes, I guess I’m a bit biased, but for good reason.
I know if you give ebook writing and publishing a try, you will never try any of those other ways to earn extra money online. Get started today.
